PTA

Parents play a critical role in their child's education. At EARThS, we require three hours per month of your time dedicated to the support of your child and their classmates. There are numerous ways to become an involved parent! We encourage you to volunteer in the classroom, serve on a committee, participate in an evening event, or help out in the Library or Front Office.

About EARThS PTA

EARThS PTA is an official non-profit organization that supports EARThS Magnet School.  The purpose of the PTA is to support the faculty, staff, parents, and especially our students. Having an official PTA unit that is part of the California PTA and National PTA allows us (parents) to have a framework for advocating for specific programs and policies here at Earths. It allows us to have  organized fundraising and events (with insurance coverage) on behalf of the school in order to fund the needed resources and programs to create the best possible educational experience.  And being a member of the PTA gives you a vote in all of this. Your PTA MEMBERSHIP contributes to our good standing for our Unit, the EARTHS PTA. 

There are so many ways you can get involved in this wonderful school. Please don't be afraid that just because you volunteer for one event that we'll be calling you every month-UNLESS YOU WANT US TO.  

The PTA does not have an office on campus so we obviously don't have a door. But we do have an "open door policy."  If there are questions or ideas you have, please don't hesitate to share them with us.  Please feel free to contact us with any comments, questions, or kudos at earthspta@gmail.com.
